  • Does BBQ Guru have an adaptor to fit the Barrel House Smoker?

    Hi Neil, The short answer is no, but with the Barrel you dont really have those fluxuations in temp, you just set the vent to the number based on your elevation and thats it.

  • How does it perform in cold climates?

    Hi Al,

    The Barrel House will perform as described in colder climates as long as the wind is blocked. As with all smokers.

  • Hi, I'm a complete novice. Are you using anything but charcoal in the smoker? Wood chips or chunks? I have had a different smoker, and have trouble keeping the charcoal hot and the wood smoking'.

    I use hardwood charcoal along with dry wood chunks in mine and it is a truely set it and forget it type of smoker.

  • Does the meat still get the nice bark (char) that you would get from a typical horizontal smoker on lets say rib's or brisket?

    Absolutely, there’s no difference in the outcome it just ends up being less work. It really makes a nice bark on all of your meats.
